Came here for my Bday Celebration and I loved it!! Fun night with vibrant ambiance and amazing food. We started with some delicious cocktails, I had an old fashion. Our server was very professional and attentive. She explained the menu and suggested some items. I'm glad she did that because I'm not a caviar fan, but we ordered the steak tartar with caviar on top and toasts, OUTSTANDING! Honestly I was impressed of how much I liked it. I would come back just for that alone. Then she also suggested the Butcher's Feast which was excellent and perfect for two people. The meat was tender and juicy. She always came by the table and flip the meat on the grill making sure it was cooked perfectly. All the sides were delicious specially the egg soufflé. Yum Think of this place as a high-end Korean BBQ with prime quality meat and full service. Meaning you don't have to grill the meat yourself, besides you don't come out smelling like in most Korean BBQ.

I had a good time here, several of my friends recommended this over and over so we decided to celebrate for a birthday. The meat was top notch, it's an elevated experience from your usual ktown bbq which can get too rowdy and service wise spotty. I think they are pretty consistent here which i appreciate. They even charged my phone for me, allowed me to make a phone call, then recharged it. Nice. Nothing too bad to note down, im really picky but since our group had fun it's 5 stars all around.

Cote has been on my radar for a few years. I've been to Korean BBQ spots before and have enjoyed the experience, so when I heard almost universal praise for Cote and that it was a destination spot in NYC, I made it my intention to check it out. The opportunity finally came the other night when I was able to book a table for my brothers and I, so off we went. Since its opening in 2017, Cote has proven to be the premier Korean BBQ spot in NYC and beyond - so much that it's the only Korean steakhouse in the country that has a Michelin Star. Making a reservation was a little difficult but not impossible - it's actually easier to make a reservation for parties of 4 or more since the tables are designed to sit larger parties. You can make reservations for 2 or 3 people, but you will be limited to the first and last seatings of the evening (5/5:15pm and 10:30/11pm). In addition to the main restaurant, they have a bar downstairs called Undercote, and two more locations in Miami and Singapore. We had a reservation for 5pm (when the restaurant opens) and arrived about 5 minutes before; everyone was lined up outside but were soon shuffled in and taken to tables. First impression upon entry is that the space looked more like a nightclub than a restaurant (a compliment). There was a long hall that housed the Hall of Fame (butcher blocks with the names of celebs on them) and the host stand at the end. Check in was seamless and were soon seated at our table. The dining room is not that large, though it's spacious with high ceilings, several tables, and a bar at the head of the room; additionally, they have outdoor seating that's done up nicely to maintain the feel. The aesthetics are somewhat upscale - lots of black and gold with some exposed stone and low lighting; it gave off high end but also approachable. As expected, each table had a grill in the center to cook the meats. We decided to start with drinks and some shrimp cocktail. I had the Cote Fashioned which was really good - just strong enough and smooth. The shrimp cocktail was great - sizeable crustaceans served with gochujang cocktail sauce. Moving onto the main meal, you have the option to order a la carte or choose prix fixe. For the former, there's a selection of beef cuts, some salads, seafood starters, and savory accompaniments. We thought it would be easier (and more economical) to go to the prix fixe route. While they offer a Steak Omakase option at $225 pp plus $110 pp if you want to pair wine, we went with the Butcher's Feast which included 4 cuts of beef plus accompaniments and dessert. Additionally, they offer to add Japanese A5 Wagyu for an additional fee which we went for. Besides the aforementioned beef, we received gogi cha, ban-chan (several varieties including kimchi), scallion salad, two types of lettuce leaves for wrapping, egg soufflé, two different stews with rice, and sauces. All of the beef was delicious; I tasted all of them on their own and then added the accompaniments which proved to be awesome pairings. The Japanese Wagyu especially was incredible - melt in your mouth good and worth the add-on price. I'm not a big red meat eater, but I could really tell that all of these cuts were of super high quality; there was nothing served to us that I didn't think was delicious. We finished our meal with vanilla soft serve topped with soy caramel sauce - a simple but perfect finisher. Service was excellent; Nathan did a great job walking us through the meal, and always made sure we were taken care of. Note that your server will cook the meats for you, so you don't be handling the beef yourself; a nice touch but also kinda expected given the status and price point of this restaurant. Overall, I had an awesome time at Cote; my expectations were pretty high and they were definitely met. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while and is definitely worth checking out.

From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The sleek and modern decor creates an inviting atmosphere, whether you're here for a special occasion or just a night out with friends. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the Butcher's Feast. It's an experience like no other. From the moment the sizzle of the prime cuts hits the grill to the tantalizing aroma that fills the air, you know you're in for something special. The presentation alone is enough to make your mouth water, but it's the taste that truly steals the show. Each cut of meat is expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing the impeccable quality that COTE is known for. And let's not forget about the Wagyu beef. Tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious - it's truly a carnivore's dream come true. Whether you prefer it cooked to perfection or enjoy the thrill of grilling it yourself at the table, you won't be disappointed. But it's not just about the food at COTE; it's the entire experience. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who are passionate about what they do. They're more than happy to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations based on your preferences. Overall, COTE Korean Steakhouse is a culinary masterpiece that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. Whether you're a meat lover or simply appreciate fine dining done right, this is one experience you won't soon forget. Treat yourself and indulge in the Butcher's Feast - you'll thank yourself later.

This is def a splurge but it is an experience some of the best steak I've had. Would go again. Staff was active and attentive. The overall restaurant is very dark though lol but that's just a me thing.

COTE is good, but in my opinion I think it's a bit overrated for a Michelin star restaurant. The service and experience was top notch in my opinion, but the food was a bit underwhelming. I will start with the highlights. The meat is definitely high quality and they were all very delicious. However, I found the side dishes to be very average. Maybe I am not used to these types of side dishes but I found them all to be overly fermented. I did enjoy the scallion salad however. The soups and the egg soufflé were also pretty decent. There is a good amount (A LOT) of food for the butcher's feast. The vibe is nice inside, although I did feel a bit rushed while I was dining to get out of there as quickly as possible. In terms of booking a spot, try giving them a call instead of trying to book on Resy.

NYC really tests you, some days you wonder if it's worth it. I've had many of those days in the last 8 years since moving here but then you have those crazy experiences that feel like it could only happen here and you're instantly reminded about how amazing this city really is. One of those was last night. Walking into @cotekoreansteakhouse during peak hours with no reservation I thought was a sure fire set up for rejection but fate was on our side. This being my first time, we went with the Butchers feast. I wish I could individually describe each bite and savor the taste through those words. This was an incredible meal and experience from start to finish and one I will dream about. It will definitely make the "best food I ever ate list" I keep handy at all times in my notes app- you never know when you'll need to whip out that info What I can tell you is that the meal came with 4 premium select cuts, Korean sides to compliment the cuts, items to make your own lettuce wraps (Scallion salad, Ban- Chan, Gogi Cha), Savory Egg Soufflé, Two Stews with rice and vanilla soft serve I'll be full for days. I will say, I think my favorite cut and flavor was the final piece. Our steak server advised this had been marinated in apple juice and was "dessert meat". It was almost candied. It was.. fantastic. We did add a tuna tartare onto our meal which was very refreshing and light but now knowing how large the meal was itself, I doubt we needed it but damn it was good. This whole dinner is an experience, with the cuts being cooked table side. I was extremely impressed with every aspect of this meal. Also, at $74 a person- this is actually a great deal for the plethora of food you'll consume ( before t&t and not including the tuna tartare which I think was an extra $20ish). If you can get in, Cote is a must. The Michelin star is well deserved. 5/5
